Very Excited about this! Christina and I have been working really hard for the past few years on this and it looks like by the end of the week we will actually have a physical CD in our hands! This has went through the hands and minds of some very talented people. We would really like to thank our Label and everyone at Moshpit Production. Sxully and Eric Saide for the great art and photography we pulled together. Eric Decks and Decks Tracks for the amazing sonic boom you gave the Record. Lazy Rich, Ian Carey for the dope remixes. Cliff Hokanson and Lucid City Films for the amazing videos we got to make & Last but certainly not least the Fans, Friends and Family that have stuck with us and supported our rehearsal, shows and shoots. Thanks so much, this would not be possible with out you!

Drumattic and Destineak updates are starting to blur into one as we approach the spring and summer shows. Its been a shit load of work but Christina and I almost seen some light at the end of the tunnel the other day.....mmmm well maybe that was spring. Hope your all doing great and cant wait to hit the stage and show you our new sights n sounds. Keep the music alive and get out and support local shows!

Here are some of the new sounds Destineak will be dropping on this summer's *REMIX TOUR*. The set features Destineak remixes from Lazy Rich (#1 Beatport Electro Artist), Ian Carey (Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, G-Fab), Erick Decks (Decks Tracks), and Destineak.

Destineak's radio mixes will be hitting airwaves and TV (on video) in June, and the LIVE show will feature all of our dirty remixes. A little bit for everyone, and alot for all the fans. We've been hard at work in the dungeon mixing our sets, and they make US SWEAT : ) See you on the dance floor!

Some Changes in da house!

Hello everyone, not sure where the past few months have gone.... Well im trying to do a visual recap and all I can say is 2010, wow what a start!. As the world knows, we hosted the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. That alone brought on so many shows I didn't have time to Blog In and keep even my show schedule current. Christina and I have been head strong into our new CD/DVD release and getting everything prepped for the Debut. We are so excited! 8 videos, some dope remix, inc. Lazy Rich- Recently Beatport's #1Electro Artist! Ian Carey and Erick Decks to say a few./ Hey I even got a remix on the CD. I Have to say with Creative control the workload is full time. On the other hand Me n C moved into a new place and are really excited about not unloaded and loading all the gear into our 600 ft living space. This new place is amazing and we now have a dedicated studio room! One of the best things about the place is the backyard and a beautifully laid out garden. We planted some seeds today and hope to see some results in a couple of weeks. On that note just wanted to touch base and say hello and wish you all great health and happiness!

THE NEW PROMO WORKS!!

Haven't had too much time to blog in the past 2 weeks but after we launched the 2010 Drumattic promo video, bookings went off the hook. Things are really moving ahead with the DESTINEAK CD too. Nice to see the 5 years of hard work shaping up to a physical package. This blog is going to be short as I just wanted to check in and say thanks again for all the support and shows. With another 5 show this week I just wanted a little downtime to watch a movie and chill with Christina.

I usually include an inspirational video in my blog, and I was really touched by this man's story. It kind of makes you wonder how some of the content makes it to air when there are so many stories like this that have so much more importance. Watch and listen to this story and keep going right till the end as he goes off.

HOME SWEET HOME-It's all we have....

Please don't say "I cant believe you just watched this." We just stumbled upon HOME, a documentary on our interaction with the planet. It tells how we have grown so far away from our natural synchronicity that we used to share. The numbers and education this film show are staggering. Some of us all already know and are changing to better ways and some of us are just too lazy or not informed. I am posting this to motivate who ever stops by to carry this information as our shared survival armour. Please do the same and pass this to as many people as you can. I just wanted to add that Melisa and Chris (family) are going to have a baby this week. I just keep thinking what if we fuck this planet up? What are we going to say to these kids when they grow up?

If you have not checked this out, watch this in HD. It is the best documentary I have watched. Its 1:30 so make some popcorn. Get prepared to for an education from the most beautiful footage/music and narration of our troubled planet.

First off, Im so excited about about finally finishing the new DRUMATTIC 2010 VIDEO-FEEL IT.
This has been 2 years of gathering footage and producing shows. Please take a minute and check it out. I'm really proud of it, and feel confident it will secure some really cool dates for the Olympics!

Im not quite sure if it's the refreshing fall air or the half clouded days but the past few days have been very productive for Christina and I. It just seems that we get a lot more done when were not worried about how much time were going to get to spend outside. Creative juices have really been flowing and it's just too bad that were in video and promo mode or we would be sinking into the new tracks inside our heads. We are locked for Sat. to shoot our video for Siren's and have been assembling the team with our production crew to make this all happen in a 12 hour day. When Christina and I started Destineak we were doing everything to produce ourselves to acceptable levels, including licking the stickers for the CD's. Always in hopes of gaining enough attention to garner a deal to get us to the next level. Well, now that it has moved into that phase there are so many people involved who bring the most amazing talent to help us to reach our goals. Costume designs, casting directors, stuntmen, directors, producers, art designers, mix engineers.... the list goes on. Ive been through this all before and the single one thing I bring to the table this time, is that its about the team. If people feel like they are included in the overall output they are more likely to give it as much as they can to get it off the ground. These past few month's have been all about team work. Sometimes as artists we tend to have a hard time releasing the reigns to another driver. Just realize that there are so many talented people out there that can offer really fresh perspective and most likely take the idea to the next level. Try this, walk into the next rehearsal or meeting and just listen for a bit, then ask a question based on the creative idea and let things grow from there. See how that goes instead of steam rolling and walking out of the room with what you already knew. Remember, it's all about the relationships, and the teams we build.

9:30am-Woke up this morning and took care of a few things for next weekend's shoot for our siren's video.
1:30pm-Then right off to rehearsal. really felt great just running the set. we have been recording all our rehearsals and trying to learn and move ahead with out making the same mistakes over and over. Its kind of our preproduction for our upcoming tours in support of our new cd.
3:30pm-after packing up we were off to a meeting to secure another saturday night. GOT IT! we will let you know when we have the proper promo.
5:30pm-after wrapping it up it was off to rehearsal and sound check for GINGER 62-LOBBY friday nights. what a great buzz this room gets still after over 3 years! so proud to have been a resident for from the beginning.
8pm-back home to have a great meal that christina has prepared with love and a quick movie. well its shower time now because I need to be back at the club for 11pm.
when you show up for my job it's like hitting the gym at midnight, but there are all these beautiful ladies walking around asking if you want a drink.
11:30pm-Nestor and skla are ripping it up and its time to suit up for first set.
12am-felt great, no drinking tonight as we have some cool stuff to be on for tomorrow. sweat is good but not always comfortable in a close environment.
1:30am-2nd set- this time the place is packed and it's going off. I must say it felt good to kill it!
2:15am-last set this on went way longer because I coudn't leave the drums, the crowd was surrounding the kit as if at the personal local j-z concert (tonight). To many cheers to leave this one. lets just say when these moments of release are received it really makes one grateful that we get to do what we love. I was stone cold sober and i was able to receive every ounce of this, and I tell you it's the high we all try and reach with out spending ass loads of cash and killing to many braincells.
3;30am Time to load out, into the van and out of the van to my rehearsal space. Not bad for time seeing as I was home at
4:15 am. I think that's a record. I felt a little more focused and this really showed me that I don't need a half bottle of tequila to get me in and out of there. some times us artists don't get to feel the recognition that we need to keep a creative minds moving forward. that can really fuck with your head and all types of demons can rip you apart from the inside out. turning to alcohol and drugs can seem like the temporary answer but let me tell you, all it does is cost you & if and if it starts to take over......well, Ill elaborate with some experience on this subject later. so in close i wanted to share a video with you once again and hope that it sheds a fresh concept to get you through the (shit, this sucks times) I also wanted to say thanks for letting me do what i do best and allowing me the stage to speak from in turn giving me purpose. there are many more thing s to be done with this momentum, and if the planets align for us we will soon be pulling it off!

Hi everyone, just got home and finally had something to eat. Thought I would update you and let you know how the day went. Well music wise it was really cool. I took the camera down to the space and recorded some drums for the upcoming promo that's on the way. I put the Yamaha kit back into duty and added some electronic pads to the DJ rig so that I can get out from behind the drums a little and play some cool samples and basses etc..I filmed it all and imported it as soon as I got home but it's getting late and we have been cranking on the Destineak Siren's video shoot all day too. The whole thing is starting to come together. Location, costumes, catering , cast , crew....yikes, Its alot. The location is awesome and I cant really say where but I will be bringing the camera to the shoot and doing a making of as well for DVD treats later.
Christina and I ran across some pretty interesting stuff on You Tube today. If you fell like being educated punch in TED TALKS and take a look at the videos. Im sure there are some interesting things you have never heard before. We checked this one out with Bill Gates. His optimism is inspiring.
Anyways just going to wind down and get some zzzz's as Im playing Ginger 62 tomorrow night with the Lobby Crew. It's always a great party, so I want to be on my toes. Come by if your in my neck of the woods!!

Hard work is starting to show some results!

First off please watch the World Police and Fire Games Video, this is truly and amazing accomplishment for me. Hence the title of the blog.
Just got home from my show at the Odyssey in Vancouver. It was a really great feeling to walk off stage and have people that have seen my performances there for so many years give such great feedback. We really have been hitting it hard in the rehearsal space, 4 times a week and a min of 4-7 or 8 hours of running tracks, tweeking sounds, trying to make the jump to the next level. Well tonight I actually feel that it was appreciated. No drinks, as we were filming some footage for the upcoming promo video (didn't want alcohol in the shot). Just didn't feel like drinking. Keeping a clear head has it's rewards and it paid off tonight. I got to play some really cool tracks that Erick Decks from Germany gave me while he was here Co-Producing the Destineak CD. Too much fun!
Besides the show, Christina and I awoke to hit the hills on Sunset Beach and had some together time doing a great work out before her photo and video shoot with Dorinha Jeans. Dale and Dorinha are friends of ours and they really hooked Christina up with some amazing Jeans. She's modeling them for me as I write :) After the shoot I had the pleasure of having a one on one with former professional model Dale Reynolds. We spent about 15 minutes on a couple of ways for me to own the shot when a camera approaches. Well let me tell you, after a quick review of the test shots we decided that I should carry luggage and not model. Dale said get back in there kid, and tighten that stance. Shoulders back,and bend that right knee.
Low and behold the next few shots were almost passable. While the baggy shirt was not so flattering for me, Dale made it look like an custom tailored Armani suit!
As the shoot finished up we headed over to the Odyssey for a quick rehearsal for our show at the ECHO ROOM tomorrow. It sounded great. We even ran it into the Odyssey's PA. Home was the next stop to fuel up, shower, and basically get our asses to the club.
Show time 12:45 and 1:45. Home 4am. All in all a really great day and Christina and I got to hang doing what we do and learned from some really talented people.
Like I said hard work is starting to show some results.

First off I'd really like to thank you for stopping by and checking out the new vibe on the site. I figured it was time to update the Drumattic site while we await the last few parts of the DESTINEAK CD to come together. It's going to get really busy once we start shooting the videos and doing promotion for the release. As far as Destineak goes, we are rehearsing 4 times a week right now and getting some really great work done.

Lately there seems to be so many ideas that cross my mind, so I have decided to start a BLOG to jot them down and share some of the confusion. I hope you will join me as I attempt to post videos for Drum Lessons, News, Information on Lifestyle/Nutrition, and other topics related to being a gigging drummer.

On the other hand the Drumattic Drum/DJ show has been rocking Vancouver almost every weekend, so its time for a new Drumattic club video trailer. I'll be done in a few days and can't wait to share all the cool shows that we have had the pleasure of being invited to party and play at. Thanks for the support through the years and see ya at the next show!
