Hard work is starting to show some results!

First off please watch the World Police and Fire Games Video, this is truly and amazing accomplishment for me. Hence the title of the blog.
Just got home from my show at the Odyssey in Vancouver. It was a really great feeling to walk off stage and have people that have seen my performances there for so many years give such great feedback. We really have been hitting it hard in the rehearsal space, 4 times a week and a min of 4-7 or 8 hours of running tracks, tweeking sounds, trying to make the jump to the next level. Well tonight I actually feel that it was appreciated. No drinks, as we were filming some footage for the upcoming promo video (didn't want alcohol in the shot). Just didn't feel like drinking. Keeping a clear head has it's rewards and it paid off tonight. I got to play some really cool tracks that Erick Decks from Germany gave me while he was here Co-Producing the Destineak CD. Too much fun!
Besides the show, Christina and I awoke to hit the hills on Sunset Beach and had some together time doing a great work out before her photo and video shoot with Dorinha Jeans. Dale and Dorinha are friends of ours and they really hooked Christina up with some amazing Jeans. She's modeling them for me as I write :) After the shoot I had the pleasure of having a one on one with former professional model Dale Reynolds. We spent about 15 minutes on a couple of ways for me to own the shot when a camera approaches. Well let me tell you, after a quick review of the test shots we decided that I should carry luggage and not model. Dale said get back in there kid, and tighten that stance. Shoulders back,and bend that right knee.
Low and behold the next few shots were almost passable. While the baggy shirt was not so flattering for me, Dale made it look like an custom tailored Armani suit!
As the shoot finished up we headed over to the Odyssey for a quick rehearsal for our show at the ECHO ROOM tomorrow. It sounded great. We even ran it into the Odyssey's PA. Home was the next stop to fuel up, shower, and basically get our asses to the club.
Show time 12:45 and 1:45. Home 4am. All in all a really great day and Christina and I got to hang doing what we do and learned from some really talented people.
